He was predeceased by: his daughter Tammie Bufe. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ward; his son Biff Schuessler (Jiayang) of Fort Worth; his son-in-law David Bufe of Hurst; and his stepchildren, Kim Hoyt (Bob) of Pennsylvania and Jeff Perry (Marti) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
