He is survived by: his wife Joan Leighton; his children, Paula Leighton James, Cheryl, Ron Mason, Steve and Michelle Leighton; his grandchildren, Valerie Mason, Michael, Lacey Leighton, Ashlee, Chris Slaughter, Madalyn, Justin Burkhart, Nicole, Justin Newberry, Jeffrey Mason, Riley Mason, Caleb Alderman, Nicholas Leighton and Harrison Leighton; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Mason, Madilynn Newberry, Ronni Mason and Wyatt Burkhart; and his nephew Jeff Ruscha.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities.
