It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Willie David Humphrey Sr. in Baytown, Texas, who passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Humphrey, Sr.; his wife Roxie Bailey of Cove, TX; his father Leroy Humphrey, Sr.; and his siblings, Alline Williams, Amanda Hollis, Leroy Humphrey, Jr., Theo Humphrey and Clarence Humphrey.

He is survived by: his sons, Derrick, Gregory, Ryan and Willie, Jr.; his siblings, Ollie Mayes, Sadie Mae Mayes of Houston Tx, Rose Vital of Detroit Michigan, Richard Humphrey of Chicago Illinois and Lionel Humphrey of Anahuac Tx; and his niece Phyllis Mayes Shelton of Connecticut. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
