Ruth Ann Elliott Obituary

Ruth Ann Elliott, 64, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Beaumont.

Ruth was born April 19, 1959 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to parents; Joseph Lee and Elizabeth Jane Shaffer, and was the youngest of two brothers and three sisters. A former resident of Washington State, Nevada and California, Ruth felt most at home in Baytown Texas for the past 21 years. She was a mother, homemaker, former business manager and bartender at Max Bowl East. Her people-oriented nature made her a valuable resource for friends facing struggles in life, with a sympathetic ear, a warm cup of coffee, and a door that was always open to those in need. Ruth enjoyed crafting with friends, painting and gardening.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents and several of her siblings. She is survived by her husband of 36 years: John Elliott, sons: Douglas Lee Elliott and wife Danielle, and JohnThomas Elliott, sister: Linda Ashbaugh, brother: James Shaffer, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Our family would like to thank the caring and compassionate people at Harbor Hospice, Baytown and Beaumont for the support that they provided for us at the end of this journey.
