She was predeceased by: her parents, Dessie Mae Scott and William Emmett Dossey; her great grandchild Samuel Gene Whitaker; her sons-in-law, Zelrich Lynn Stockwell and Thomas Arnold Mills Jr.; her siblings, Altha Dossey Williamson, William Earl Dossey (Carolyn) and Dean Ray Dossey (Della); and her brothers-in-law, Cleve Reber and Dewey Fuller.
She is survived by: her husband George Whitaker, Jr.; her children, Ginger Mills and George Ed Whitaker, III (Cathy); her grandchildren, Edwin Whitaker, IV (Jessica), Justin Stockwell (Jennifer), Kelli Locke (Jeremy), Kyle Whitaker (Rebecca) and Craig Whitaker (Mikayla); her great grandchildren, Taylor Hipolito, Olivia Whitaker, Camille Whitaker, Collins Locke, Elizabeth Whitaker, Annie Mae Whitaker, George Edwin Whitaker, Jaxson Stockwell, Jacob Whitaker and Barrett Whitaker; her stepgreat-grandsons, Jacob Burkhalter and Zachary Burkhalter; and her siblings, Reita Reber, Margie Fuller, Jane Cox (Nelson) and Truman Dossey (Martha).
