He was predeceased by: his mother Glenda Morgan Wright. He is survived by: his father Daniel R. Elkins, Sr.; his daughter Ashley Elkins; his brother Daniel R. Elkins, Jr.; his grandson Ryan Tracy Verlin; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Trey and Morgan. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, and friends.
Eventually he left work because his symptoms kept progressing over time and he dealt with Parkinson's disease for at least 20 years.
