We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2023, at the age of 99, Eleanor Hewitt Steele of Baytown, Texas, born in Lockport, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Hewitt and Lillian Hewitt; her grandparents, William and Mary Morgan; her siblings, Margery Van Etten and Lawrence Hewitt; her sister-in-law Margaret Steele (Howard Steele); her grandson Edward Franco; and her great grandchild Janice Steele.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Steele; her son Kenneth Steele; her grandchildren, Christy Stovall (Blake), Catherine Friddle, Wade, Gregg Franco and Jeremy Franco; her great grandchildren, Rebecca Althen, Brett Bright, Joe Friddle, Alyssa Friddle, Braydon Stovall, Kenneth Franco, Kasyn Franco, Emah Franco, Brooke Stovall and Kora Franco; and her great great grandchildren, Kayden Bright, Odin Friddle, Maddox Friddle, Anthiea Friddle, Orion Friddle and Jaxson Friddle.
