He was predeceased by: his parents, Donato Rivas and Maria Irma Rivas (Houston). He is survived by: his children, Eduardo Rivas, Saul Rives of Baytown, Nancy Rivas, Cynthia Palacios of Baytown and Claudia Rivas of Houston Texas; his siblings, Jose Luis Rivas of Houston, Sergio Rivas of Houston, Maria Luisa Arreola, Blanca Estela Cardenas, Alma Leticia Martines, Elsa Norma Ayala, Adelia Rivas of Baytown, Rosa Rivas Armijo and Perla Diana Rivas of Houston; and his grandchildren, Haley Palacio, Stacy Aileen Maranda, Delilah Valdovinos, Jasmine Celeste Miranda, Destiny Contreras, Matthew Palacios Damian Contreras, Dominique Contreras, Daleyza Palocios, Joseph Palacios and Alina Rivas Ayleen Rivas.
