She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Bates and Betty Thompson Bates; her husband Aubrey Lee Bird; her stepfather Rias Wells; and her son Aubrey Wayne Bird.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Glenn (Stacey Bird) and Gayle Denise Bird; her daughter-in-law Cherry Bird; and her grandchildren, Jason Bird (Jamie), Derrick Bird (Shawntia), Kasey Fuentes (Anthony), Jeremy Sears (Janette) and Kelly Putt (Austin). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
