He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Garcia Rivas; his parents, Manuel Garcia (Columba Guevara Garcia) and Columba Guevara Garcia; his grandson Manuel Garcia; and his siblings, Valentine Garcia, Juaquin Garcia, Cristobal Garcia, Baldomero Garcia, Nicolasa Garcia, Bertha Garcia, Narcisa Rodriguez and Rosalinda Cavasos.
He is survived by: his children, Cornelia Vargas (Eleazar), Christina Perales (Gil), Oscar Garcia, Olegario Garcia (Maria), Omar Garcia (Alma) and Hormandin Garcia (Minerva); and his sister Severa Sierra. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
