He was predeceased by: his parents, James Louis Johnson and Iola Mae Cooper Johnson; and his siblings, Woodrow Wilson Johnson, Laura Mae Homuth Zouzalik, Irene Wenske, Glyn Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Gertrude Branecky, Winnie Bohnsteadt and Una Dell Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie Lillie Janecka Johnson; his children, Deborah Kennedy (Chuck), Karen Ryman (Duane), Patricia Lindsay (John), A. J. Johnson (Ronica) and Ronald Louis Johnson (Marilyn); his siblings, Fern Profiri, Dorothy Schubert and David Johnson (Teenie); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Gail Kennedy, Mary Margaret Kennedy (Jon Barkowsky), William Joseph Kennedy, Jeremy Duane Ryman (Aleia), Colleen Sue Henderson (Gerald), Matthew Lindsay, David Lindsay, Ben Johnson (Lynn), Lacey Daugherty (Mike) and Brittany Johnson. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
