He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Darrell and Bernice Irene Behrend. He is survived by: his wife Valeria Karol Behrend; his daughter Christy Lynn Smith; his stepdaughter Wendi Roundtree; his sisters, Donna Kadlecek (Daniel) and Nancy Vydrzal (Billy); and his grandchildren, Alyssa and Cayden Smith.
