He was predeceased by: his wife Esperanza Sanchez; his parents, Alfred, Sr. Carreon and Minnie Carreon; his son Gabriel Sanchez; and his siblings, Gertrude Carreon, Raul "Roy" Carreon, Ralph Carreon, Jenny Carreon, Blanche Carreon and Alfred Carreon, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Guadalupe Sanchez, Gloria Ximenez (Fred), Roger Sanchez (Mary), Richard Sanchez, Sylvia Zurita (Alfred), Martin Sanchez, Elizabeth Butler (David) and Amber Sanchez (James Gomez); and his sister Lucy Carrion. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704). A reception will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745).
