With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maudie Lester Murray of Athens, Texas, who passed away on March 22, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Carter and Vida Yarbrough; and her children, William Vaughan and Joyce Vaughan Morris. She is survived by: her grandson Dean Morris; and her daughters, Maudie "Jody" Vaughan Clark and Linda Murray Applegate. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
