He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Grones and Selma Grones (Galetka); and his brother Daniel Grones. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Grones (Wagner); his children, Scott Grones (Kelly) of Palacios, Eric Grones (Deven) of Victoria, Melissa Champion (Kurt) of Pearland and Jill Mowles (Bobby) of Rosharon, Texas.; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Bailey, Brooke, Samantha, Bethany, Kori, Jaren, Logan, Anthony, Brantley and Robbie; and his siblings, Melvin Grones (Patricia), Marlyn Sevcik (Alton), Allen Grones (Judy), Leon Grones (Carol), Gaynell Chudej (Alton) and Royce Grones (Sandy). He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and many close friends.

Funeral Mass Service (All attendees must wear masks): 11:30 am, Thursday, December 10, 2020; with Visitation starting at 10 am; and Rosary starting at 11 am; at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.
