He was predeceased by: his parents, Hernesto Rubio and Andrea Rubio (Ortiz). He is survived by: his children, Rita, Mona (Steve), Ruby (Chappas), Ray and John; his sister Mary; his wife Julia (Ramirez); his sons, Ruben, Renato and Rene; and his siblings, Juan, Andreas, Hortencia and Ophelia. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
