He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Angelle and Louis Thomassee, Sr.; and his siblings, Ernest Thomassee, Louis Thomassee, Nolan Thomassee, Sue Guidry and Lillie Zeringue.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Moorman Thomassee; his children, Mandi Doucet (Keith), Brandi Brown and Tracey Thomassee (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Jenna Shandy, Jessica Doucet, Joe Keith Bares-Doucet, Brittan (Bethany Brown), Blake (Kali Thomassee) and Jerri (Tyler Chapman); and his siblings, Carrol Thomassee, Paul Thomassee (Pam), Georgie Boutte, Laida Berard and Sherry Thomassee. He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren.

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, services will be private and limited to immediate family only and he will be laid to rest in Anahuac Cemetery.
