It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maurine (Plainview) Cornelius of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Borchardt and Annie Miller Borchardt; her husband Jimmy Cornelius; her son Terry Austin Cornelius; and her siblings, Robert E. Borchardt, Evelyn Williamson and Joan Borchardt.
She is survived by: her children, Anna (Joe Price), Linda Rice, Rhonda (Tony Abbott) and Jimmy (Heidi Cornelius); and her sister-in-law Sue Kiely. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity.
