It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Lee Morris of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Morris Swain; his sister Doris Swain; and his stepfather Mathis Swain. He is survived by: his siblings, Ocie Thomas, Ophelia Morris and Johnny Howard of Amarillo; his nieces and nephews, Devoura Burks of Amarillo, O'Dena Howard of Amarillo, Rashunda Ashley (Verporeum) of Amarillo, Adrienne Mims (Eric) of Amarillo, Harold Thomas, Jr. of Amarillo, Darrell Howard of Amarillo and Gregory Thomas of Irving; and his close friends, Frankie Johnson of Colorado and Terry Payne of California. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
