He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Charles and Frances Ruth Pond; and his siblings, R. L., Charles, Bill, Emmitt Pond, Sammie Suggs and Ernestine Costley.
He is survived by: his children, R. L. (Heather) and Carol Pond of Amarillo, Texas; his grandchildren, Austin Ward, Brayden Pond, Ryan Whittington, Jaxton Pond, Presley Pond and True Pond; his great grandchild Sebastian Pond; his grandchildren, Sloane Pond and Jean Whittington; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Pond of Yuma Arizona, June Pond of Harrison Arkansas and Anita Beasley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
