He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirk Hulsey and Poppy Hulsey; and his brother Bill Hulsey. He is survived by: his wife Deedee Hulsey of Amarillo; his sons, David Lee Hulsey, Jr. (Sarah) of Georgetown and William Hulsey (Diana) of Germantown; his stepchildren, Jack Palomino (Tai), Jennifer Palomino and Apryl Albracht (Nick); his siblings, Janie (Ken Burrow) of Georgetown and Chappy Hulsey of Austin; his nephews, Kyle and Mark Burrow; and his niece Tracy Asmus.
