He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel B. Herrera and Dora V. Herrera; his parents-in-law, Raymundo and Minnie Treviño; his daughter-in-law Adriana Herrera; and his siblings-in-law, Esperanza Treviño Stimets, Juan Treviño, Gabriel Chapa and Robert Stimets.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Treviño Herrera; his children, Teresa "Terri" Diaz (Jimmy), Michael, John Herrera and Edward "Eddie" Herrera; his sisters, Ruth Herrera and Sylvia; his sisters-in-law, Gloria Treviño and Lydia Treviño; his grandchildren, Raymond Herrera, Alexandra Diaz Chaparro, Alexandria Herrera Freeman, Sierra Diaz, Robert Herrera, Kathryn Herrera, Eric Diaz and Ben Herrera; and his close friend Rascal Herrera. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, an uncle and cousins that were special to him and his pet.
