She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Hinkle and Artie Black Hinkle; and her brothers, Woodrow Hinkle, Willard (Velma Hinkle) and Malcolm Hinkle.
She is survived by: her husband William Rister (Bill); and her children, Cassandra Wong (Russell) of Anna, TX, Gary Schweikert (Lidia) of San Antonio, Randy Rister (Viva) of Childress and Lonnie Rister (Christi) of Lubbock. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
