He was predeceased by: his parents, James McClellan Wassell Sr. and Kathryn Selwyn Anderson; his sister Carol Betty; his wife Jeni; his nephew Kerry Talbot; his brother-in-law John Betty; and his niece Meredith Jackson.

He is survived by: his daughter Kristi Price (Michael Price); his grandsons, Christopher Price (Amy Gunnels) and Matthew Price (Brandi Price); his great grandchild Brady Price; his granddaughter Amy Price; and his sister Lila Kay Jackson (Don Jackson).
