He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edwards and Earline Johnson Edwards; his sister Jonel Smallwood; his niece Barbara Smallwood; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth and Shasta Young.
He is survived by: his son Kyle Allen Edwards; his wife Diane Young Edwards; his daughter-in-law Audrey Edwards; his aunt Joann Ford; his siblings-in-law, Allen and Cindy Young; his niece Zacha Young; and his nephew Mason Young.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hendricks Hospice or to the donors' charity of choice in memory of James Edwards.
