Ezekiel Rodriguez Obituary
Ezekiel "Zeke" Rodriguez, 71, of Abilene, passed from his earthly life into eternity on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his home in Abilene, Texas. He was born on August 9, 1952, in Baird, Texas to the late Clemente C. Rodriguez and Elvira Davila Rodriguez. He Graduated from Baird High School and attended Cisco Junior College.
He spent most of his life in Baird, which he always referred to as "God's Country". While attending Baird High, he met his high school sweetheart, Mary Nell Simpson Rodriguez, who he later married.
He worked for Western Marketing, Inc until the company sold; spending over 42 wonderful and rewarding years with the company. He then spent his remaining working career with Wes-T-Go Fuels; another outstanding company which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Zeke loved life and never met a stranger. He enjoyed everything that had to do with the outdoors. He especially enjoyed firing up one of his many smokers and feeding as many as he could gather together for some good ole fellowship. He also loved hunting, fishing, rodeos, muscle cars, his family and countless friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell of Abilene, his daughter Molly Edwards Lang and Husband Sha of Tioga, TX; sisters Elizabeth Rodriquez and husband Felix; Elida Ramos and husband Ray; brothers Efraim Rodriguez and wife Susie, Grabiel Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez and wife Lauren. Many Nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful and cherished friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Ross Cemetery Annex starting at 10:00 AM. Zeke's final resting place will be in the family plot in Ross Cemetery Annex in Baird, Texas.
