He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Flurry and Alice Mae Sweeton; his siblings, Nelson (Ella Mae), Delbert Sweeton, Ed Sweeton (Virginia), Daymond Sweeton (Nancy), Betty Rogers (James), Rosa Nell Scissom (Tommy) and Kathleen Smith (Richard); and his sister-in-law Ruth Sweeton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Colston Sweeton; his son Wendell Sweeton; his brother Alton "Toe" Sweeton of Mt. Juliet; and his sister-in-law Reggie Sweeton of Palmer.
