Beckman Jr.; and his siblings, John L. Hale, Thomas E. Hale, Thaxton T. Hale Jr., Charles E. Hale, Mary Sue Anderson and Martha Ann Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Sheucraft Hale; his son David W. Hale (Jay); his grandchildren, Constance Hope Ramirez of Cottontown, Tara Melson (Tim), Danielle Hale, Lacey Walker (Eddie) of Shelbyville and Nathan Hale of Shelbyville; and his sisters, Janeice Shrum of Gallatin and Mildred Harris of Cottontown. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
