It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Scruggs of Waynesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Slim Hivley and Viola Rachel Hedrick Hivley; her husband Cecil Bradford Scruggs; and her sisters, Donna Watts and Marilouise Elizodna.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Scruggs (Monica) of Iron City, TN, Beth Burns (Randy) of Clifton, TN and Kathy Scruggs of Altadena, CA; her grandchildren, Sandy Johnson, Stephen Burns, Kyle Collins, Evan Scruggs, Anthony Scruggs, Ethan Scruggs and Madelyn Scruggs; and her great grandchildren, Viola Jones, Paizley Smith, Corbin Scruggs, Max Burns, Tagg Burns, Wil Burns and Cooper Johnson.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Janet Smith Foundation at People's Bank or the Butterfly Foundation.
