He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert and Inez L. Skelton Mathis; and his brothers, James Fay Mathis and Elvis Taylor Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Mathis (Belsha) of Waynesboro, TN; his daughters, Pamela L. Mathis of Waynesboro, TN and Shelia Daniel (Heath) of Collinwood, TN; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brier, Braylee and Hannah; his great grandchild Mae Bri; his brothers, Bobby Lee Mathis (Connie) of Waynesboro, TN and Gary Wayne Mathis of Lawrenceburg, TN; and his stepmother Clara Mathis of Waynesboro, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
