He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lonnie Swinea and Mabel White Hull Swinea; and his siblings, Sam Swinea, Lonnie Swinea Jr., Donald Swinea, Steve Swinea, Jeweldine Pearce, Mary Emmagene Cook and Lois Marie Ruddle.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Swinea of Waynesboro, TN; his sons, Raye Bruce Swinea Jr. of Pahrump, Will Swinea of Waynesboro and Jody Swinea of Columbia; his grandson Samuel Zane Swinea of Waynesboro; and his sister Gerealdine Johnson of Memphis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
