She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe David and Victoria Ayers Brown; her husband Ralph Franklin Griggs, Sr.; her sister Helen Brown; and her great grandchild Brayden Xavier Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Franklin Griggs, Jr., Opal Ruth Mashburn (Kalen) and Betty Peacock (Jerry); her grandchildren, Jacob Quent Peacock, Amanda Jefferies, Leoma and Kacinda Leigh Burns (Dustin Phillips); her great grandchildren, James Haden Ramsey of Waynesboro, Damian McKenzie of Waynesboro, Kitana Jade Cox of Waynesboro, Leoma of Waynesboro, Benjamin Isaiah Burns of Waynesboro, Trevan Dewayne Burns of Waynesboro, Brynleigh Elizabeth Burns of Waynesboro, Sophia, Elleri Reign Phillips and Savannah; her sister-in-law Virginia Cooper Griggs; her nephews, James Griggs (Angie) of Waynesboro and Steve Griggs (Connie) of Waynesboro; and her niece April Thompson Collinwood (Kenneth). She is also survived by cousins and friends.
She gained her angel wings, December 14, 2020 after a brief illness with Covid at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, TN.
