With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellis A. Butler of Waynesboro, Tennessee, born in Collinwood, Tennessee, who passed away on October 30, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Butler and Ella Franklin Butler; his wife Mary Frances Lee; his stepmother Bonnie Lay Butler; and his sister Cathrine Butler.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Butler (Lisa) of Waynesboro, TN and Karen Butler Johnson (Julius) of Columbia, TN; his grandchildren, Charlie Butler (Pam), Matthew Johnson, Mary Ella Johnson Lettiere (Sam) and Andrew Butler; and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Andie Lettiere and Liam Ellis Johnson.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be given to First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, TN or the Buttlerfly Foundation, Waynesboro, TN.
