He was predeceased by: his parents, L. M. Ward and Aline Ward. He is survived by: his wife Trish Ward; his children, Ginger Blair (Bill), Lucas Ward and Jessica Sampsel (Skylar); his grandchildren, Josh, Lexi, Elijah Moore, Tanaya, Braaklynn, Skylan Ward, Kinsley and Emmarie Sampsel; and his siblings, Tim Ward (Lisa), Chris Ward (Diane), Debbie Kirby and Edith Pace.
