He was predeceased by: his son Donnie; his parents, Robert Lively and Pauline Lively; his parents-in-law, Alvin and Virgie Foster; and his sisters, Carolyn Lowe and Debbie K. Lively.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Lively; his sons, Mike Lively (Darlene) of Seymour and Brad Lively (Hannah) of Wartburg; his granddaughter Kristin McStay (Brandon) of Knoxville; his siblings, R. M. Lively, Johnny (Debbie), Billy, Alice Woods (Leamon), Charlotte Woods (Lawerence) and Barbara Nell Oran (David); and his brother-in-law Charles Foster (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many close life-long friends.
