He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Vespie (Sis); his parents-in-law, Boyd and Edna Vespie; his brother-in-law Sonny Vespie; his parents, Noble Barger and Ruth Barger; his sister Nola Jean Adkins (Billy Adkins); and his brother-in-law Charles Osborne.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carl B. Barger, Ben Calvin Barger of Perry, GA., Henry H. Barger (Barbara) of Daysville, TN, Martha Ellen Keylon (Ted) of Midtown, TN, Mildred June Morton (Jack) of Harriman, TN and Wilma Joyce Osborne (Charles) of Columbus, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Mildren (Bootsie) and Jimmy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Wartburg Presbyterian Church in Wartburg, TN.
