She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Gardiner and Mattie Gardiner (Carmichael); her husband Bobby Phipps; her children, Mike Phipps, Billy Joe "Pee Wee" Phipps and Jan Ogden; her granddaughter Jennifer Pitts; and her sisters, Winnie Ruth Siglow, Dorothy Lucille Haynes and Betty Sue King.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Chad Phipps of Union City, Chanee McDaniel of Union City, Kyle Stover of Union City, Misty Hines of Paducah, Dusty Phipps of Halls and Kaila Eaves of Hornbeak; and her sister Kay Atwill of Union City. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
