We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2024, at the age of 87, Marlon Wayne Bates of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bates and Lola Dooley Bates. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Bates; his sons, Roger Bates (Kim) and Terry Bates (Robin); his siblings, Gaylon Bates (Cindy) and Carolyn Brannon; his grandchildren, Rebecca Bates, Rachel Westbrook (David), Clay Bates, Olivia Tardiff (Justin) and Alyssa Bates; and his great grandchildren, Walker, Eliza and Molly.

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma.
