He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. Long and Elaine Clark; his sisters, Judy Sanders, Linda Faye Weaver and Polly Prince; and his great grandchild Ally Burt.
He is survived by: his wife Shirly Long; and his children, Brenda Sue Burt (Scott), Robbie Long, Curtis Long (Carolyn) and Thomas Martin (Connie). He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; over forty great-grandchildren; one god grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
