He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Henry Bennett and Sabina Elizabeth Bennett; his wife Vonna Bennett; his son Carl Bennett; and his siblings, Carl Bennett and Joan Maganelle.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Bennett (Belinda) of Trenton, Gordon Bennett, Jr. of Arizona, CJ Bennett (Melissa) of Texas and Becky Bennett Gothelf (Steve); and his grandchildren, Robin, Megan, Hailey, Brandon, Tommy and Ashley. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

“Condolences to the family of my Uncle Gordie, he is my Mom's (Joan Manginell) youngest brother. I have many fond memories of him coming to our house in NY to visit. My mom made sure he was well fed every time he stopped by. I remember one day when he stopped by the house, my mother had a fresh homemade pumpkin pie and Uncle Gordie loved Mom's cooking. She gave him a piece and he sat quietly eating every bite. Mom had a piece after he was done and discovered she forgot an ingredient. That's love!”

“So sorry to hear of his passing - Condolences to the family. He was my mother's (Joan Bennett Manginell) brother & one of my favorite uncles. They were originally from Waterloo/Seneca Falls, NY area. He lived near us when we lived in Caledonia, NY. Unfortunately we did not get to see him or the rest of his family after he moved to Fla., but we are so happy to hear he went on to live a long life. Rest in Peace Uncle Gordie.
