He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wayne Avery, Sr. and Dorothy Ballinger; and his wife Carol Avery. He is survived by: his children, Russell Wayne Avery of Jackson, Tennessee and Andrea Avery Wheeler of Jackson, Tennessee; his sister Ollie Mannino of Colorado; his grandchildren, Kate Whitby, Collin Avery, May Wheeler, James Wheeler and Mary Wheeler; and his great grandchildren, Reid Whitby and Rhett Whitby.
