He was predeceased by: his wife Minnie Ruth "Boot" Dalton; his son Melvin Dalton; his parents, Carl Dalton and Mary Lee Dalton; and his brother Rev. C. J. Dalton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy Denton (William) of New Market and Regina Coffey (Gary) of Thorn Hill; his grandchildren, Laura (Christian), Will (Adrian), Shana, Matthew, Samantha (Wayne), Brittany of Chelsey, D. J. and Joseph; his great grandchildren, Willy, Waylon, Adalyn, Ronnie, RaeAnna, Journie and Bubba; his sister-in-law JoAnn Dalton; and also Gary Coffey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
