He was predeceased by: his parents, Cal Griffin and Sally Clark Griffin; his wife Ica Belle Brown Griffin; and his siblings, Joe Griffin (Ruth), Jackie Griffin (Barbara) and Cora Lane.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Darrell Griffin of Ten Mile, TN and Barbara; his son-in-law Larry Gates of Niota, TN.; his grandchildren, Valerie Nolan (Chris) and Michael Gates of Athens, TN.; and his great grandchildren, Logan Gates, Tryston Nolan, Zoie Nolan and Carter Nolan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
