He was predeceased by: his father Erskine R.; and his sister Deborah Hilyer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hilyer; his children, Jami Camire (Mike) and Bobby Hilyer (Stephanie); his stepson Craig Fraley (Wendy); his mother Dorothy Hilyer; and his sisters, Monica Hubbard (George), Sherri Mirseyedi and Christine Langham (Larry).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Erskine may be made to Watts Bar Lake Association, P.O. Box 956, Spring City, TN 37381.
