He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie McCaslin and Barton Howell McCaslin; his wife Brenda McCaslin; his daughter Sherri McCaslin; and his siblings, Selena Thompson, Dolora Jenkins, Martha McKnight, James "Jimmy", Richard "Dick" and Bill McCaslin.
He is survived by: his children, Mike McCaslin and Suzanne McCaslin; his grandsons, Matt Johnson (Cindy) and Tyler Johnson; his great grandchildren, Sara, Kayley and Sierra Johnson; and his sister Helen M. Webb.
