It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwayne Lonas Cathey (Tellico Plains, Tennessee), who passed away on August 30, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Either West Cathey; his siblings, Rita Dockery, Eulis Paul Cathey, R. A. Cathey, Getta Cathey, J. B. Cathey and Willie Cathey; and his friends, Floyd and Bernice Peels.
He is survived by: his wife Burmel Shepherd Cathey; his daughter Tammie; his son-in-law Clayton Millsaps; his sons, Sonny (Gale Cathey) and Tim (Pam Cathey); his grandchildren, Amanda (Tony Rollins), Brian (Sarah Cathey), Amy Millsaps, Andy Millsaps, Jennifer (Nathaniel Robinette), Cayci (Michael Lane) and Jessica (Joe Collins); and his great grandchildren, Justin Nichols, Jalen Smith, Axil Millsaps, Alaura Rollins, Chance Rollins, Bree-Ella Rollins, Mary Cathey, Bethany Cathey, Sunny Cathey, Evie Lane and Maddie Lane. He is also survived by Several nieces & nephews.
