It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude H. Abernathy (Tellico Plains, Tennessee), who passed away on September 9, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Katie Lay Abernathy; his parents, Eli Abernathy and Kate Roberts Abernathy; and his siblings, Sylvia Lee Sullivan and Don Abernathy.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon (Joe Frerichs), Tellico Plains, Dorian Abernathy and Dale (Jeanne Abernathy); and his brothers, Dennis Abernathy, Tellico Plains and Troy Abernathy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
