He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Lindsey and Rosa McPeak Lindsey; his siblings, Gladiola Lindsey (Wayne Monroe), James Lindsey and Riley Lindsey (Faye Mayo); and his aunts and uncles, George McPeak, Joseph "Joe" Lindsey, Lillie "Mae" Greer and Mary Head.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Lindsey; his daughter Linda Russell (Charlie) of Surgoinsville; his brothers, Chester Lindsey (Bobbie) of Church Hill and Amon Lindsey (Ethel) of Kingsport; his grandsons, Melvin and Clayton Russell; and his close friends, Marie Stanton, Jimmy Burchfield, Chester Christian, Rogersville Vision Clinic, Renee McCoy, Silver Angels, Heidi Perry, Rehab and Amedysis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
