She was predeceased by: her father George Gatton; her husband Charles Huffman Akers, Sr.; her children, Charles H. Akers, Jr. and Pam Akers; and her brothers, Charles Lee Gatton, Harry Robert Gatton and George Elbert Gatton.
She is survived by: her sons, Phillip Akers of South Fulton, TN, George Blane Akers of South Fulton, TN and Mike Akers (Jennifer) of South Fulton, TN; her grandchildren, Denise Akers of Martin, TN, Chris "Bubba" Akers (Alicia) of Coffieville, OK, Levi Akers of South Fulton, TN, Nikki McBride (Jeremiah) of Union City, TN, Ashley Casey (Hunter) of Clarksville, TN and Lane Akers of Union City, TN; her daughter-in-law Teresa Akers of South Fulton, TN; her nephew Brent Gatton (Wanda) of South Coffieville, OK; and her niece Janet Key (Charles) of Texas. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
