He is survived by: his parents, Charles Ray (Joetta) and Carolyn Houston Peck (Howard); his wife Debra Davidson Ray; his children, Robin Byrd (Michael), Candy Avery (Thomas), Justin Smith (Tiffany) and Zack Smith (Lyndsay); his siblings, Denise Behr (Tim), Jimmy Hannah and Jack Ray (Julie); and his grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Emma Byrd, Layla Smith, Solene Smith and Stella Avery.
